Blake Bath served as Managing Director and Senior Equity Research Analyst for Lehman Brothers from 1996-2006, covering Wireline and Wireless Telecommunications Services. Blake’s coverage included Regional Bell Operating Companies, rural Local Exchange Carriers, wireless service providers, long distance carriers, and tower companies. Blake made a highly acclaimed sector downgrade in September 2000 with his report entitled “The Overcapitalization of Telecom.”

Prior to joining Lehman Brothers in 1996, Blake was the telecommunications analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein from 1992 to 1996 and an analyst in the Strategic Planning and Corporate Finance organizations at MCI Communications from 1989 to 1992.

Blake’s research efforts have been widely recognized in surveys of institutional investors. In 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006, Blake was ranked on Institutional Investor’s All-America Research Team. In addition, he has placed in the top ten of the Institutional Investor and Greenwich Associates poll for 14 consecutive years.

Blake holds extensive industry relationships with major companies and senior policy makers in the telecom sector. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of public telecom company Cogent Communications Group, Inc. (CCOI).

Blake received an MBA from Columbia University in 1988, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1984.


Scot Labin, CFO/co-CIO

Scot Labin joined Legg Mason Capital Management in 1999 and served as a generalist for multiple industries including retail, supermarkets, IT services, brokerages, and technology. From 2001-2006, he served as Telecommunications analyst with coverage of $5.5 billion in assets under management for proprietary mutual funds Legg Mason Value Trust, Special Investment Trust, and Opportunity Trust.

From 1996-1999, Scot was a Financial Analyst with Legg Mason, Inc. in the Financial Administration department, responsible for corporate projects including strategic analysis and business development for Legg Mason Inc., risk management for the taxable fixed income trading desk of Legg Mason Wood Walker, and financial modeling of Legg Mason Inc. subsidiaries and departments.

From 1989-1996, Scot was a Senior Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding, where he performed technical and quantitative analyses of nuclear power plant systems of the CVN68 Class Aircraft Carriers.

Scot received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1989, and a MBA with honors from the College of William and Mary in 1996. Scot was awarded the CFA designation in 2000 and is a member of the CFA Society of Washington DC.


Bruce Kromminga, COO

Bruce Kromminga serves as Chief Operating Officer of Bay Bridge Capital Management. Bruce was employed as a securities broker with Deutsche Banc Alex Brown Employee Brokerage Services from 1998-2002. Bruce served both local and international DBAB employees with transactions in equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, and foreign currencies. Prior to becoming a Series 7 licensed securities broker in 1998, Bruce worked as a registered sales assistant in Alex Brown’s high net worth brokerage group beginning in 1995. From 2002 until his joining Bay Bridge Capital Management, Bruce analyzed publicly traded companies for purpose of investment.

Bruce received a Master of Science in Finance from Loyola College in Maryland in 1998 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with minors in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from the University of Denver in 1994.
